While working on the development of web platform for US-based grant recipients, we faced some challenges with the landing site and logo redesign. As the original project has been used for a couple of years now, I was to create something brand new with a user-friendly front-end. The project was to be elegant but innovative to correspond with the application features and functionalities. While crafting this landing site I decided to use material design which looks really flat (especially in terms of the simplicity of its iconography) but still stays multidimensional. With the fullscreen hero screen and call to action (CTA) section at the bottom, the new landing site is more intuitive (navigation) and simple (general style).
