Diamond Mine was developed to facilitate the management of a project-based service company. The application is composed of three modules: Worklog Reports, Invoice Generation and Performance Reports. The system provides managers with easy access to information about financial performance on specific clients, projects and teams.
The application business logic is rooted in the concept of Time-Driven Activity Based Costing and, as such, serves as a simple managerial accounting tool supporting decision making processes in the company.
The system integrates data from Redmine – the project management software used – as well as the accounting system, and allows monitoring revenue, costs, cash flow and profit margin realised on clients, projects and teams over specified periods of time.
The system front-end relies heavily on jQuery and CSS3.
