The project focused on building a full web application with OpenAI integration. We delivered login and profile management, an interview-style Q&A flow, structured JSON outputs, and an AI engine that generates OKRs and tasks. A custom kanban board became the core workspace where users manage everything produced by the AI. The solution was built with React, Tailwind, and a backend layer powering OpenAI models.
The results show clear impact on planning speed and clarity. Selleo delivered an AI-driven workflow that cuts business plan creation from weeks to minutes. OKRs and tasks are generated in one run and mapped directly into the kanban board. A dedicated team of five specialists created a scalable design system and a stable architecture ready for future growth.
The platform now supports a complete planning cycle, from early validation to detailed execution. Users move from idea to structured action without switching tools or losing context. This unified approach helps small teams stay organized and delivers clarity that is often missing in early-stage companies. The experience is simple, fast, and aligned with how modern founders work.
The Client
Exegov and Its AI Business Planning Platform
Exegov is a US-based SaaS company that builds an ai powered businesses plans for founders. Their platform acts as an advanced co-pilot for strategy, finance, HR, product and marketing. It supports teams that move fast and need structure without hiring a full consulting bench. This is the client context we stepped into as Selleo.
The core of Exegov is a clear business description turned into action. The platform helps users go from idea and business model to a complete business plan. Founders answer guided questions about their company, market and goals. The system then organises this input into structured outputs that are ready to share with teams and investors.
Exegov’s mission is to make expert planning accessible to every small team. They replace static templates with an ai generated business plan that adapts to each company. Instead of generic slides or documents, users receive a comprehensive business plan, OKRs and task lists in one place. This reduces manual work and removes friction in early planning stages.
The client serves a global audience across tech startups, AI products, blockchain, e-commerce and mobile apps. Exegov wants to turn scattered founder notes into a single source of truth for business planning. Their ai powered tool gives structure, keeps context and removes the need to jump across tools. Our role at Selleo was to turn that mission into a usable, scalable product experience.

The Problem
Challenges & Core Problems in Exegov project
For this project we stepped into a complex domain. Exegov needed a multi-module AI co-pilot that turns raw founder input into a structured business plan, OKRs and tasks. Our challenge at Selleo was to turn this idea into a reliable, predictable product workflow.
We had to wire OpenAI into a real application, not a demo. Responses had to be clear, safe and usable as data. We also had to keep the experience simple for founders who do not want to think about prompts or models. Each step in the flow had to feel like a normal product screen, even though it was powered by AI.
The project required strict consistency across modules. Strategy, product, finance, HR and marketing outputs had to align with one another. We could not allow the AI to generate disconnected pieces, because the user needed one coherent planning path. This forced us to design a unified logic for queries, validations and JSON structures.
We also had to solve for real operational speed. Business planning cannot lag, so each ai generated business plan had to be delivered fast and without retries. This pushed us to optimise prompts, handle edge cases and design fallback rules to keep the workflow stable under different inputs.
Below are the six biggest challenges we faced from the delivery side:
OpenAI response integration
Section-specific plan queries
Consistent JSON task output
Model choice and tuning
Multi-step OKR generation
Simple UX for complex flows
Every decision in architecture, prompts and UI had to support this chain. Interview answers move into an ai generated business plan, then into OKRs, and finally into a kanban board. If any link failed, the whole experience would break for the end user.
The Solution
Solution: Building a Scalable AI Business Planning Platform
We designed Exegov as a unified ai powered tool that turns scattered founder input into a structured, repeatable planning system. The core of the solution is a multi-module engine that produces a comprehensive business plan, OKRs and tasks from one guided flow. This approach replaced disconnected documents with a single, consistent planning lifecycle.
On the product side we created a clear, interview-based experience that guides users from idea to execution. Each step converts answers into contextual outputs such as an ai generated business plan, a business model summary or an OKR set. Every module speaks the same language, so users never lose context as they move between sections.
Technically, the platform uses OpenAI models wired into structured prompts and JSON schemas. We built stable pathways for plan generation, multi-step OKR creation and task
mapping. The system produces predictable outputs that flow directly into the kanban board and support real execution. This removed friction and kept AI responses safe, consistent and actionable.
From the process perspective we ensured clarity, validation and error recovery across the entire chain. Each user answer is captured, normalised and fed into the next module without manual cleanup. This created a fast, repeatable workflow that founders can trust from the first session.
Business-wise the solution provides a scalable foundation that supports many industries and company sizes. It reduces planning time, cuts consulting costs and helps users define a clear business description with minimal effort. Exegov now delivers structured guidance that drives real outcomes for early-stage teams.

our role
Scope of Our Work on the AI Business Plan Generator
We started with a deep discovery phase to understand the full planning workflow founders follow inside Exegov. We mapped every step from the first interview answer to the final OKR. This allowed us to design a system where AI output becomes structured data instead of disconnected text. Our research clarified the inputs, outputs and edge cases across all modules.
Next, we created a complete product concept and validated it through clickable prototypes. Each screen showed how users move from Q&A to an ai generated business plan, and then to OKRs and tasks. The goal was to keep the flow simple and predictable, even though it relied on advanced AI logic. UX/UI work focused on clarity, consistency and safe user guidance.
When the product design was solid, we moved into development and integration. We built the environment, connected OpenAI models, defined JSON schemas and implemented stable pipelines for plan and task creation. We ensured that every AI response could flow directly into the kanban board without manual cleanup. This created a smooth chain from input to execution.

The results
AI-powered Features & Assistance in the Business Plan Generator
The project delivered a stable, predictable AI workflow that guides users from the first interview step to a ready-to-use business plan. We turned a loose planning idea into a structured system that converts every answer into clear and usable outputs. This gave Exegov a foundation for a scalable product across many business domains.
The platform now supports one continuous path from Q&A to OKRs and tasks. All outputs are returned in JSON, so users move directly from strategy to execution without switching tools. This increased clarity across the product and reduced friction for founders who expect fast, tool-assisted planning.
Our team of five specialists created a consistent design system, stable AI pipelines and a unified kanban view for all generated tasks. These elements improved product usability and made the workflow easier to extend with new modules. The result is a flexible architecture that supports long-term product growth.
Beyond the technical impact, the work shifted how the client’s team approached planning. The system made strategy more visible, reduced context switching and improved internal alignment around one workflow. It also strengthened their brand as an AI-first planning platform for startups and SMBs.
