Qstream: Science-Proven Approach to Remote Learning
Based in Boston and Dublin, Qstream is a global leader in microlearning. Its solutions, used by some of the largest and best-known brands in the world, engage learners through a compelling user experience; reinforces knowledge through science-based, spaced-learning algorithms; measures and proves learning proficiency gains through rich analytics.
Qstream was founded in 2008 based upon the discoveries of a multi-million dollar investment by Harvard Medical School in clinical trials to determine the best method for long-term knowledge retention. Qstream contacted Selleo to develop an improved user experience that lets administrators manage company profile settings. The Selleo team was asked to build and deploy this enhancement parallel to code being simultaneously written by the Qstream software engineering team.
Qstream’s core solution creates scenario-based spaced eLearning challenges. Learners are enrolled in Qstream, receiving an initial email to start and then subsequent emails when new questions are available, typically two new questions every two days. Upon responding, learners receive an explanation of the correct answer (whether their answer was correct or incorrect) for immediate knowledge reinforcement, and then questions are repeated at a spaced interval for long-term knowledge retention.
The results are scientifically proven to increase initial proficiency gain and, unlike most eLearning solutions, deliver measurable, long-term knowledge retention.
Process and Project Scope
Independent React team
Qstream reviewed the CV profiles and skills of the Selleo team and finding a strong match with project requirements kicked off the project in August 2020. Selleo works independently on the project module, referencing the libraries used by Qstream software engineers for alignment and compatibility.
Reinforcing job-critical knowledge thanks to microlearning
Qstream is a microlearning solution proven by science and in practice to boost learner performance through knowledge reinforcement, engagement, and analytics. 600+ organizations rely on Qstream to build high-performance teams by delivering a microlearning experience that reinforces job-critical knowledge in minutes a day, exposing a real-time view of performance readiness.
The administration module enhancement Selleo worked on lets administrators change settings and manage learner enrollments. The solution provides scale to onboard learners at even the largest enterprises (those with populations 100,000 or larger). Administration capabilities also include the management of groups and cohorts.
