Qstream is a mobile-first microlearning application built for corporate training programs. It delivers scenario based learning in short learning modules, using spaced repetition and interactive quizzes to reinforce critical knowledge. We supported the platform with UX/UI work, scalable admin flows, and advanced analytics that help managers track learner progress and spot knowledge gaps. The solution also explored ai powered content creation to speed up microlearning content authoring.
The results show measurable impact on learner engagement and employee knowledge retention. Qstream applies cognitive science principles validated in clinical research, reporting up to 170% higher knowledge retention versus traditional training formats. Integrated gamification elements and focused learning moments drive participation, while manager dashboards and advanced analytics make progress tracking actionable for large teams. Selleo’s work helped keep the platform extensible, stable, and ready for ongoing development.
The platform now supports continuous learning without pulling employees out of the flow of work. Learners receive bite sized lessons in short learning moments across mobile access channels, while program managers run training strategy based on real performance data. This approach helps organizations reduce risk in compliance training and complex subjects by reinforcing critical knowledge over time. The experience is simple for busy schedules and scales across training programs.
The Client
Qstream and Its Microlearning Platform
Qstream is a US-based SaaS company delivering a mobile first microlearning platform for enterprise employee training. It’s built around short learning modules that fit “busy schedules” and strengthen knowledge retention in regulated, high-stakes environments. This is the client context we stepped into as Selleo.
At the core of Qstream is continuous learning driven by scenario based learning and spaced repetition. Learners receive bite sized lessons, answer interactive quizzes, and get immediate feedback that reinforces critical knowledge over time. For program teams, the system highlights knowledge gaps and supports training programs that can scale across roles and regions.
Qstream’s mission is to replace traditional training that fades fast with measurable retention and business outcomes. Its approach is backed by cognitive science principles and reported results across 20+ randomized clinical studies, including up to 170% better long-term retention versus standard formats. That evidence makes it a natural fit for compliance training and complex subjects where mistakes are costly.
The client serves global enterprises across life sciences, healthcare, finance, and other risk-sensitive industries. Qstream pairs advanced analytics and progress tracking with gamification elements to boost learner engagement without disrupting work. Our role at Selleo was to translate that strategy into a scalable product experience that supports both program managers and participants.

about the project
Project Overview
Description of microlearning application
A microlearning application for corporate training built around scenario based learning and spaced repetition. It delivers short learning modules as daily training bursts that fit busy schedules. The experience is designed to reinforce learning without pulling employees out of work.
Challenges and key features
Design and develop key features across multiple question types, with progress tracking and advanced analytics for program owners. The system had to surface knowledge gaps quickly and support structured learning paths for different roles. We also ensured the platform stays extensible as training programs evolve.
Outcome and learner engagement
A microlearning platform that improves knowledge retention and boosts learner engagement through integrated gamification features. It supports continuous learning with bite sized lessons and interactive quizzes that reinforce critical knowledge over time. The outcome is a training strategy that connects employee training to measurable business outcomes.

our role
Scope of Our Work On The Microlearning Platform
We started with a deep discovery phase to understand how enterprise teams run employee training across compliance training, product knowledge, and leadership development. We mapped the full learning loop—from microlearning content creation to delivery across mobile devices—so the platform could close knowledge gaps with spaced repetition instead of one-off traditional training. This clarified the training strategy, the data model behind structured learning paths, and the real constraints of frontline teams and busy schedules.
Next, we shaped the product direction and validated it through clickable prototypes focused on mobile accessibility and mobile access. Each flow showed how users move from scenario based learning into bite sized lessons, then into progress tracking and advanced analytics that track learner progress at scale. UX/UI decisions prioritized focused learning moments, learner engagement, and predictable navigation across short learning modules and interactive quizzes.
When the concept was proven, we moved into development and integration of key features that keep the system future-proof. We implemented scalable question types, multiple languages support, and integrated gamification elements to boost employee engagement while reinforcing critical knowledge. The result is a training platform designed for continuous learning, measurable business outcomes, and stronger employee knowledge retention.

FAQ
QStream Best Microlearning App
At Selleo, we build a microlearning platform around cognitive science principles, not “click-through” behavior. We implement scenario based learning and spaced repetition to reinforce learning over time. We add advanced analytics to reveal knowledge gaps by team, role, and region. This connects employee training to business outcomes.
Yes. We design a mobile first microlearning platform with mobile access that fits busy schedules. We integrate communication tools so people can access training where they already work. We focus on short learning modules and bite sized lessons to keep friction low. This consistently boosts employee engagement and learner engagement.
We start by identifying critical knowledge and the moments where errors are most costly. Then we build interactive quizzes with immediate feedback to reinforce learning in realistic scenarios. We add progress tracking to help leaders spot knowledge gaps early. This supports a clear training strategy and safer execution.
We implement advanced analytics that go beyond simple dashboards. We create proficiency-style views that track learner progress and highlight weak areas. We support structured learning paths that enable targeted coaching and leadership development. This makes personalized training practical at scale.
We design focused learning moments and daily training bursts that work on mobile devices. We enable mobile accessibility and optional offline access when connectivity is inconsistent. We use gamification elements to maintain momentum and continuous learning. This helps deliver training without disrupting operations.
Yes. We design AI powered workflows that support training content creation while respecting governance needs. We apply clear rules for artificial intelligence inputs and keep enterprise constraints in mind from day one. We also support opt-in or opt-out patterns depending on policy readiness. This keeps adoption realistic for corporate training.
Microlearning app cost is driven by integrations, advanced analytics depth, and the number of training programs and channels. We define key features first, then phase delivery to prove value quickly. We design for ongoing development and scalability from the start. This reduces risk and protects timelines.
