The ViewWorld platform brings together three connected parts. Mobile apps support field officers in their daily work, the web console helps teams manage collected data, and the API makes that data available for further use in other tools and systems.

At the heart of the product is the ability to create custom forms for the places, services and observations that need to be reported in the field. Each organisation can adapt the reporting model to its own workflow and easily create new forms or questionnaires when programme requirements change.

Field officers can complete forms and submit reports directly from their phones or through the web interface. Managers can review every submission before it is approved, which improves quality and makes the reporting process more reliable. Main administrators can manage organisation accounts, while local admins can manage users, groups and dynamic forms inside their own environment.

The client

A field research organisation collecting structured observations

Our client is an NGO operating in the third sector and coordinating distributed field officers who collect structured environmental and social data across many locations. Their teams gather observations in the field and need a reliable way to turn those inputs into usable information.

The organisation wanted to replace paper forms, disconnected spreadsheets and manual retyping with one digital workflow. The goal was to capture observations in the field, review them centrally and make clean data available to teams, programmes and external stakeholders.

A multi-tenant data collection platform where each organisation designs its own forms, dispatches them to field officers, and receives submissions into a central console for review.

Challenge

Reporting needs differed by programme, so the form model had to be fully dynamic — while staying simple enough for non-technical field staff on a phone in the field.

Outcome

Observations now flow from the field into a reviewable, exportable dataset in real time, with a clear accept/reject step that keeps the data trustworthy.

Scope of our work

We began with discovery and a close analysis of the real field workflow. We looked at how officers collect observations, what managers need to verify and how the data is later used by programmes and partner organisations.

Based on that understanding, we designed the UX and UI for both the mobile apps and the web console.

We delivered the full solution across the entire stack, plus quality assurance and long-term maintenance as new organisations, users and reporting formats were added over time.
